The trouble continues

Vadivelu, who has been shooting in and around Theni for a film produced by actor-turned-director Thyagarajan, got a call on his mobile last week. The unidentified caller reportedly warned Vadivelu and issued a life threat.A rattled Vadivelu told the Unit members about the threat call and the matter was immediately informed to the local Police Station and in no time, a team of policemen was put in place at the shooting spot to provide 'security' to the comedian. Some policemen were posted even outside the Hotel where Vadivelu was staying.A rumour surfaced last week about Vadivelu's reported decision to 'patch-up' with captain and the recent threat call might well be a block to the patch-up.

All but Vadivelu in Seval

Director Hari is confident that ‘Seval’ would surely click among the masses. The movie, a typical commercial entertainer, will have Bharath playing the prominent role with Poonam Bajwa and Simran sizzling on screen.

Hari is floored by Bharath's performance in the film. 'Considering his age, Bharath has come up with a matured performance. He plays a callous youth, who turns an angry man. He has not acted but reacted in the movie.'

However, the highlight according to Hari is Vadivelu's performance. He has livened up the proceedings. He appears in 35 scenes (almost all through the movie). In the first part, he tickles the funny bone of the audience with his comedy; while in the later half he gets down to play an emotional character.

Vadivelu to become hero again?

Vadivelu had openly declared after the debacle of 'Indiralogathil...' that he would never play the hero again and would continue with his role of comedian alone. It appears that he just might have a change of heart, courtesy Simbudevan.

Simbudevan was said to be in talks to direct Vivek in his new avatar as a hero. But reports say that it will be Vadivelu and not Vivek who will star in Simbudevan's new film.

Vadivelu's change of heart was reportedly due to the compelling story that Simbudevan narrated to him. Vivek is currently playing the leading role in 'Maganae Marumaganae'; some say that Vadivelu's idea to play the lead role again could be attributed to Vivek doing similar kind of a role.

In case Vadivelu's film as hero does go on the floors, he can rest assured that the Captain won't henceforth be referring to him only as a 'comedian'!
